As well as producing three productions a year, Durham Opera Ensemble is proud to offer to a selection of the University's best singers, masterclasses with distinguished professional singers and teachers.
In 2015 we were thrilled to welcome Sir Thomas Allen, Rachel Nicholls and Mary Bevan to Durham, and are fortunate to be the only University in the country to offer masterclasses with singers of such a calibre.

Durham Opera Ensemble was thrilled to welcome the current soprano Stephanie Bodsworth to Durham! Having sung the roles of Micaëla and Frasquita for various prestigious opera companies, she was invaluable in imparting her knowledge of the opera.
